Is there a way to fix a split shaft on a feather?

A customer brought in a turkey tail to mount. One of the main feathers has it's shaft split where it is very visible. Is there a way to fix this? I checked the archieves and couldn't find anything. I was kicking around trying super glue but I am not sure if it will work. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Super glue?

I routinely use super glue to fix broken feathers. You can touch up the quill coloration with a small paintbrush if need be.
It's not a big problem as long as all the pieces are there. If some are gone then it's a bigger problem. You can cut the feather on both sides of the damage and imp the ends back together with wire (or a headless pin) and glue, but this will leave it shorter. Sometimes that's a problem and sometimes it isn't ... it depends on the situation.

You'd probably be far better off to just replace the feather.

I've done both, Replace or glue. Glue on the back side of the Rachis or else you'll see a shine from the glue. Use a kicker on the glue for a faster set.
