flesher question

I am looking at a bird flesher that is used. It has a 1/3 hp motor...is this too much?

I use a 1/10 hp motor on my bird flesher. With a small motor,
I can grab the wheel and stall it if it grabs my skin. This gives
me time to turn it off before it tears up my skin.

but is the 1/3hp gonna cause a problem? Too fast?

i use the same thing to deflesh baby walruses. the skin comes off very easy, without fail.
