Im just toying around with a couple snow geese to mount for myself, Im going to carve my own mold and buy the eyes, and will use borax on them, Just wondering do i need to do anything special to the beak feet and legs to preserve them?

You can get buy with letting everything dry on its own after mounted.
It is best to inject the feet with preservative, but I will admit that the feet will usually dry without a problem. They Will shrink though, if you don't inject them. When I was learning taxidermy, I never injected the feet, and I still have some of my old mounts. The feet are skinny, but not rotten. So, you can get by without injecting. For the beak, clean out the skull really well. Get in the nostrils and pull out the nasal passages, and anything else that will rot. Powder the heck out of the skull, then rebuild it with clay, apoxie sculpt, cotton, whatever you want. Good luck with your geese:o)
