just buy freeze dried turkey heads instead of using the same ones from your customers? i only ask this because i dont feel like waiting 12 weeks to get them back then start doing them. not that customers would know the difference anyways.

Most of the time, you will have to wait 12 weeks anyway. Some of the freeze driers keep heads in stock...but most will do them on demand when you order. I usually use my customers' heads. However, unless they ask for a freeze dried head (and pay extra), they will get a high quality repro head (AEWS or Cary Cochran).

After all, how do you really KNOW that the head you get back is the one you sent anyway. I order them by weight and have never had a customer complain. After all, when they come back with shot holes, you have to repair them anyway, so they expect it to be intact even if they did shoot the snood off.

We get lots of extra heads each year and go ahead and get them freeze dried so we will always have some ready to go. Helps get the work out alot quicker.
