My last 2 shows I've been docked for paint on my eyes...However, I don't believe it was paint...Before the obvious answers...Yes, I checked them with a flashlight, used laquer thinner and paint brush and Q-tips to clean them...I thought they were clean...What I think the problem is...I've been using apoxie sculpt for eye lids...I stick the eyelids right on the glass before I put the bird together...I'm guessing I've got a thin amount of smeared apoxie sculpt on the eyes? Laquer thinner doesn't seem to clean it off? Does anyone have suggest something better to remove apoxie sculpt off glass? A better tool as well, instead of a paint brush and Q-tips? Thank you for your help! Trying to get something together for the National show!

Try Apoxie Safety Solvent... It works like a charm on fresh apoxie. I have heard it will remove hardened apoxie, but I haven't tried it.

I use it for thinning and cleaning all of the apoxie products. Works great for smoothing and cleaning up apoxi sculpt.

Another way

I too use the Apoxie Sculpt for eye rings. I use a new scalpel blade and scrape it off the eye. If you are doing competition work the odds are that you are using a high quility glass eye that will not scratch too easy. You can scrape the paint or scuplt off. Then once you have it totaly clean use Liquid Crystal and put a nice clear coat over the eye. Works great.
