mounting a landing bird

when mounting a landing bird is it better to start the incision on the back of the bird or the belly.

Belly incision is all you need doesn't matter what position the bird is in.


Take a little time

I've heard several people talking about this subject. If you take a little time sewing up, you can hide almost any incision from the most discerning eyes. Wet the incision area with a spray bottle to keep from sewing up the down feathers. Make sure and blow dry the area good after stitching and there should be no trace.
