I just finish taxidermy school and was planning on mounting a chicken for practice but im not sure if the wadles are done the same on a hen or a rooster chicken as a pheasent, or freeze dried like a turkey. thanks for any help any help at all.

I just finished a chicken and it turned out good. What i did was cast the top fleshy part of the head, it would be tough to turn that part. the lower wattles i split as you would a ringneck pheasant. Then i filled it with some clay when mounting and put the detail in it that way. You can also buy a reproduction chicken head. I think WASCO carries a few. We have many different sizes for Roosters and a few for chickens.
