Thank you for doing the flying turkey seminar at the World Show and your mounting turkey series of articles in Breakthrough Magazine. Your willingness to educate, share your skills and knowledge, all helped me immensely to mount my first turkey without other assistance. The turkey was a wholesale bird that I mounted strutting and entered at the Oregon State show (although it was not planned for a competition). This was judged by Glen Browning who awarded me a second place ribbon. I also received a plaque from the Nat'l Wild Turkey Federation for best turkey mount.
Thank you again for your willingness to give.

It sounds like you were taking notes during the seminar, Tereza. Cally's seminars and Harry Whitehead's, even tho the techniques are very different, have helped me a bunch also.
It's good to see you doing so well on the big birds after seeing your wonderful work on the waterfowl and little guys (sparrows). Tell everyone in Klamath Falls I said Hello.

Doug it was nice to see you at WTC. Since I have been doing taxidermy for less than 2 years and am new to the duck and geese world, they all looked the same to me. That's what I get for living in the middle of nowhere (Hawaii) most of my life. I have to pay attention and jot down information that I know would help me to move forward. That's why I entered 2 pieces at WTC to see how I'd do and be critiqued, then I could learn and improve. I am looking forward for an opportunity to learn more about eye detail work. Hopefully, some judge will do a seminar about it in the near future.
