Just got an ostrich from Botswana that was killed 11 months ago. I won't go into the details but it looks like it was skinned by a blind man with a dull knife or stick and them mummified. I am sending it to a tannery and have already discussed its condition with them.
Looking for any tips, tricks or help on mounting this beast from anyone that has experience mounting ostrich.

Go buy a cull adult from a breeder,incorporate the cost into the final price as repair costs,, and start from scratch. Believe me it will be worth it and your client will be more than happy with the final results.
I'll look into that. Looks like nobody does ostrich here on this forum.
