When it comes to birds what problems will I run into with my mounts DP instead of tanning them?

But for show or sale birds, l tan the skins and there is a difference in the quality. Tan skins give you a better feather play, and less shrinkage in the mount, though they may not be as elastic as conventional methods. But then again with waterfowl, most fatty waterfowl stretch too much after being wheeeled, so this is a good compensation.
Great for large birds like swans geese amd cranes.
