I couldn't find any Whink's locally today, and wondered if anyone has tried "CLR". As the name would suggest, it's a calcium, lime, and rust remover. I don't know the active ingredients in Whink's and just wondered if they're just different brands of a similar product.

Try Iron out it can be found at wal-mart in the plubming/hardware area. A cap full should do the trick if your wanting same use as whinks.
I have tried CLR and Iron Out... Whinks beats both of them. Just recently I had a pintail with a very rusty breast. I tried CLR and it got some of the rust. Then, I tried the Iron Out and I couldn't tell a difference from when I used the CLR. I went and got some Whinks and the pintail breast is as white as snow.
