If it's legal to buy turkey skins for taxidermy practice? It's going to take forever to get practice when I can only get a tag/bird every other spring. IF anyone has info I'd like to hear it thanks!

where are you located? In NC you can't buy a turkey but a hunter can give you a turkey for free to practice on but you can not sell the mounted bird. The way I understand it.

The key is documentation,documentation,documentation,documentation.

Joe , how about checking a farm and buying some domestic white birds . Then after you skin them , you can eat them too . Rick

There is a guy who post here that sells eggs and chicks. So I would assume he would have some raised to sell as well.

I don't think there is a problem with buying farm birds. I would check first though.
