I should know this but I can't recall, and can't find it in a book. I know that crows are considerd "migratory" and around here they migrate from one trash can to another! Someone please take the time and tap me in a "yes" or "no"....much appreciated

Yes they are.
that of course would be "woodcock", as opposed to my hastily typed "wodcock", apologies.....and thanks
And I know the rules have changed here in Michigan. They used to open the same time Grouse sis,Sept 15, now its a week later.
You used to have to buy a Migratory stamp. I went to purchase mine the other day, the feller at the counter tole me that the DNR has changed it. Now,you need your small game and your State Duck stamp.
Now if I'm wrong on this,PLEASE,somemone let me know because I have been out west for 3 years and am getting back into this again. Great Timberdoodle hunting in these parts.Supposed to head out tomarrow if its not raining!
Have a great day,
Dave B
I live in MI and I have been checked by the COs all the time and they never said anything about a state stamp? I just looked at the rules and it does not say anything about a state stamp for woodcock mybe they changed it but I duck hunt so I am covered if they did. Good luck out in the woods this year!

You do not need a Federal stamp for woodcock. A stamp has not been recquired for some time now. Your gun though must be plugged to hold no more than three shells and shooting time ends one half hour before sunset, not after. Have fun.
