I have done handfuls of canadians never had a problem with pin feathers, I read the post on here last week about pins and what do you know the bird I worked on today looks like junk. Feathers fell out everywhere, However its not lookin bad in the neck area mostly the breast is featherless and tail area.I mounted him gliding sideways with head turned and back and wings towards the viewer this dosent look all that bad but when u look and the other side its terrible a mess.. This is my personal goose, I was thinkin about haggin this in the shop as a example to customers but i dont want people to look at it and think that all my mounts will turnout that bad.. Im sure someone has had this problem before just lookin for input. Thanks

for your next customer that comes into your shop and wants an early duck or goose mounted.You might want to mount a good goose or duck of your own and show them the diff.You dont want to get a bad rep. for doing somthing that looks like poop.lol.That is why I wont do early ducks or geese.good luck.
hang a sign around it's neck that says THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS TO EARLY SEASON BIRDS......
