I have mounted several turkeys in the strutting form ,what i am trying to do is getting a fuller breast area that shingles smooth mine seem to have a little to much lift to them.I use poly-fil in the breast area i can't seem to get the right amount of fil in that area.I either get too much or i don't get enough.What do you guys do?I would like to get that Cally Morris look full and blowed out smooth shingle look any help is appreciated Thanks ED.

that polyfil will work against you in this situation.
I caulk the breast area up quite liberally, pose the bird as normal. Go ahead and pin all tracts into place where they go Dont worry about trying to shingle the feathers right now. Let the bird sit over night and let the caulking start to sit up. Come back the next day and start lifting each individual row of feathers and placing the individual feathers where you want them to go. by letting the caulking sit up, the feathers will tend to stay where you put them. YOU WILL have to watch as things dry over the next few days and make sure nothing pulls out of place..
Poly fill catches on the feather butts and can make gromming a nightmare in my opinion.

OH make sure you use the cheap latex caulk and not the silicone stuff.. It will set too quickly and quite possibly set overnight and then you've defeated the whole purpose.
Have fun.. turkeys are a pain.
