My hunting group just slaughtered the drake redheads this past 2 week ends. These birds are the most full plumed birds I have ever seen Minnesota produce in the fall. Most of the birds were drakes and had perfect puffy heads and perfect lines. Even the ones we plucked didnt have even one pin feather. I have six drakes and 4 hens that will done as a flock to hang at the cabin. Sweat!

We slaughtered the buggers one day in North Dakota. I kept a drake hen pair and I am doing two drakes for clients. One had a head the size of a freakin baseball. I have never seen anything like it. The day before we filled up on perfect bluebills, and than began selecteing full plumage Cans and Pintails. Awesome!
