I'm looking at giving the Ferebee reproduction duck heads a try. Is there any suggestions on what paints I need to finish a mallard repro-head? I usualy use golden yellow and black from Hydromist but the yellow's look a little like nasty mustard at times.

Should paint up exactly the same. Sometimes I find that if I don't paint it white first my yellow looks different (yellow ochre). You should also take some laquer thinner to it to remove any mold release before painting. (I am assuming you've been using the actual heads prior to this?)
