Brian, a black duck is basically a mallard wearing a dark brown sport coat. Any mallard pic can be used for a black duck pose. Hen mallards even show similar feather patterns.
As far as painting, if you painted your black duck bill like a drake mallard you would be fine. Do the feet the same way only add a dark brown wash to the black's feet.
As far as mounting---same as a mallard.
