I shot a pair of wood ducks yesterday, a drake and a hen. there both in perfect condition and best of all the drake is banded. Let me tell you I was excited. These are my fourth wood ducks of the season, Qestion 2 weeks ago I shot a woodie drake that had most back feathers missing any guess why. Ill mount him in a rest poisition to cover his back.

Nothing unusual about that. See it all the time here. BEST time to kill woodducks is March, but of course, the season is out and it's illegal. I told a customer that once and he sicced the game warden on me. I fell out laughing when he asked me if I'd told anyone that. I assured him that I'd told EVERYONE that. He didn't seem impressed but that's his problem, not mine.
