mounted a mallard drake(for self)I no my problem is that I did not clean enough fat off as the bird is dripping.My question is can I put the mount away in the garage give it time to dry up,or will it just rot and stink?

Try using it as a decoy. Not really good for anything else. Dripping grease really sounds bad. I don't know if it will rot or get ate by a pest first, so pretty much non-salvagable!
If the duck is really nice and you want to try again, submerge the entire thing in some luke warm water and let it sit there until it becomes really soft. Take it all appart and start over. Remove the grease and fat this time. I don't know how long the duck has been drying, but I did it on a duck that had been drying for over a week. My problem wasn't grease, I just didn't like the pose. It worked.
