I have the complete rump feathers on the skin, I counted 116 + or -rump and small back feathers. Also has the under tail coverts that I did not count. I used about 5 or 6 feathers from the rump but other than that it is a complete pelt.
I know that if I sell it I'm going to need them. If you can tempt me I may sell them, but one thing is for sure and that is I'm not going to give them away.
There is a guy who lives in Canada who actually raises Ocellated Turkeys. He has quite a few of them as I understand it, and i've purchased an entire frozen bird from him. email me and I'll give you his contact information. I know he collects all the molted feathers and sells them for very reasonable prices.
