Gentlemen, I need some advice. My husband has several birds that have been professionally mounted. All was well when we lived in Illinois, but we have moved to sunny, hot Arizona and things have changed. Some of the birds are loosing their feathers. Can I spray them with something to give them back good looks? The feathers are falling off and it is really ucky.
Thanks so much.

Your mounts have probably been infested with beetles (larve). If that is the case you should remove the mounts immediately. If you have other mounted specimens they will be infested also. There is not really much you can do at this time. You might try putting the birds in a large plastic bag and spray insecticide into it and then seal overnight. Hope this helps, but mother nature has her own disposal system.
temminick trapagons? I hear they have some issues.(LOL)
Thank you so much for your response. Not what I wanted to hear, but I will follow your advice.
