Im getting ready to purchase a bird flesher from Van Dykes just wondering if anyone owns the heavy duty flesher and how it works. I would like to get this one but it looks like the sheild is small and it would make a big mess with fat and grease and meat flying out the sides of it. Also like the narrow flesher but with the smaller motor i dont know if it would suite me for turkeys and small game..

I have one ,I like it but you are right the sheild lets some fat fly out from it . i just set something up next to it so it wont fly every where
Can't compare to anything else because I've never owned anything else, but I consider it a good value. Works great on fleshing snake skins also. Chuck
