Please explain the best time to inject bird feet, is it best to do it before you wash or is their any Difference. I just did a standing Bufflehead and I injected after it Was completed. I injected the toes and legs but it didn't seem to except hardly any preservative. I'm using (preserves-it), Is that normal.

I inject after I wash and before I mount. I also add a little t the tip end of the wing for that little bit that always evades me. If you inject before you mount it moistens the leg skin back up so you can get the wire through there easier.
