if you need support, heavier wire (jsut look at it and use best judgement) if its flying, real light

wire between skin and bone on back side - just like any other bird

good luck

Wire gauge

I used a 18 gauge on flying mounts this year for Christmas presents. It was the thinest I had on hand. It also was a little tough to work with but managed in the end. I would use 18 for standing and 20 for flying. This is what they recomend,
Neck- 22
Leg- 16 to 18
Wing- 18 to 20
