I have just started mounting my pheasants for the first time and am in need of information regarding the color of paints needed to paint the waddles and also the beaks. If you can help me with this dilema, could you also advise me of the proper type of paint as well?
Much thanks from a beginner.

For the waddles I use gill red. for the beak I mix a light tan with just a hint of red pearl. And a bit of black trim, and shading. But remember Pheasant beaks can come in a wide variety of colors. and tones.
It has one of the best paint schedules you'll find on pheasant beaks. If you're going to be doing any birds at all, you desperately need to invest in this book available from WASCO, the generous host of this site.
