OH MY GOD!

Nope, just proves taxidermists truly ARE artists

Only Picasso could get 25 bucks for that duck, yet there'll be someone out there to buy "IT". I don't ever want to be an artist. LMAO

That's the first time I have; memory recalls, seen you say anything about a ebay mount. I do see you chose your words nicely in order not to appear negitive about the ducks.

You are right the bidding has started on some...

Scientists now say . . .

. . . . that birds are the descendents of dinosaurs. These ducks look like the direct off spring of RODAN.

Wow!

He actually sells some of his "mounts". Just goes to show you, the taxidermy buying public is very.....very......STUPID.

His buyers actually love their birds(most of them, anyway)! Check out his feedback. You'd think, that with as much practice as he gets, he'd actually be pretty good by now! I say "practice", because he obviously isn't making any money, so this can't actually be a business. If he's buying the penraised waterfowl he really is loosing money. If he's raising the birds, he must not be keeping track of the feed costs. My bet is....he's clipping the toes on wild waterfowl and selling them as pen raised birds.

For those of his buyers that don't like the birds, he describes the product(I can't bring myself to call them mounts) as "feather perfect". That might have been true at one time, but certinly not of the finished mounts.

Embarrassed

I am embarrassed to be from the same state as this "yahoo". Not only are his birds metamophically challenged he used the wrong eye color on the green-wing. It is crazy anybody would pay money for such a disgraceful piece of so called work.

Squirrel

And did you see the squirrel on the canoe? It still has blood stains on its nose! Those are some sorry looking mounts. What a disgrace to the poor animals!

Jose Cuervo

I thought the squirrel drunk on tequila looked pretty damn accurate. It had the facial expression of someone drunk on Jose Cuervo.

Sweeeeeeeeeet!

This response submitted by Chris on 1/31/06 at 9:53 AM. ( ) 71.82.61.115

Sweeet! With work like that I must be turning out National Champion duck mounts with every bird I do. I can't wait for the first show this year! Well at least we all know now what a bird looks like if you roll up some newspaper stuff it in where the body use to be and hang it on genuine TX wood.

Chris

What a joke. Its these guys who give us a bad name.

This response submitted by larson on 1/31/06 at 2:54 PM. ( ) 12.106.25.202

He needs to stick to freeze dried armadillos.

This guy actually has a web site.

http://texastaxidermy.com/

You can actually contact him and give him your comments. sales@texastaxidermy.com

He could easily be considered the worst taxidermist over 12 years old.

Its Hard To Belive

This response submitted by D Jarvis on 1/31/06 at 6:22 PM. ( ) 156.34.183.48

How on earth could you look at those ducks and not see the flaws. Who on earth would buy them?

I just can't believe how negative you are being. This fellow is just trying to do his best. Selling his work on ebay is but a way to help defray the cost of learning. It is a shame people like you slamming other people just because they are not as accomplished as you. Check your Feet!

B yes your right BUT

This response submitted by Jim W. on 2/1/06 at 1:40 AM. ( ) 24.113.81.77

He's been doing it for 5 years now...... come on, how long do you have to suck before he gets the idea he can't mount ducks ? And think of the people he's ripping off
with that crap. He isn't even painting them and I doubt he's even fleshing them well or at all, he's not trying and don't care. he's just trying to get some money in his pocket, and to stupid to relies he's probably loosing money. Hell I can't find pen raised birds for under $40. a bird form 5.00, 1.00 for eyes 2.00 for weir and other material + putting it up on ebay around 8.00 pr bird so minimum he's got 56.00 + in a bird and selling them for 50.00. wow really good business and to boot he's screwing the market for legitimate taxidermists that are selling on ebay.
