hi my name is hamid and I'm new to this group. I don't know anything
about Taxidermy. I lost my pet canary recently (yellow Parisian Frill canary, about 5 in. in length. can anyone guide me in the steps I need to take to preserve my birds. For now i have placed it inside the freezer(in a bag). Does the bird need to be skinned? Does the skin needs to be treated with any chemicals? Can't I just dry it the way it is? Can someone please guide me to all the steps I need to take?
thank you for your time
hamid

Hamid , put it in the freezer as soon as posible . Now if this bird means a lot to you , look in your telephone book and call a taxidermist so it can be done correctly . If you dont have any idea what your doing , you might as well just throw this bird in the garbage because thats what it will look like when you finish working on your first critter . Rick
