My Grandpa shot and stuffed a Golden Eagle 80 years ago

I know its against the law to shoot and stuff eagles. However I have a stuffed golden or brown eagle that has been handed down from my grandfather, to my father, and then to me. It was shot in about 1910 to 1920. My grandfather kept the eagle in his office. My father was manager of Social Security here in Redding and the eagle stood behind his desk for 25 years. I have two questions about this. If I wanted to sale it, can I legally do so? What laws and regulations do I need to be aware of to make certain none are broken.

Ned. If you are inquiring from redding in the UK.then you will need to gain provenance that the eagle is pre 1947 then it will be classed as an antique. you would be best to check with DEFRA first though. If however you are outside the EU then sorry i am not sure of the laws in none EU countries

If You're In The U.S.
