Wing wire method

I tried a new method I read about (for me) of wiring the wings. I liked it but wonder if I would have problems with the sturdiness of the wrist and primaries later. The method is run wire through center of humerus, out the elbow, bend along ulna, cut to length of ulna and use zip ties to secure. It was fast and gave much flexibility in positioning the end of the wing. Anyone use this method and have you had problems with the end of the wing being solid enough? Thanks.

Drill Ulna

I drill a hole in the tip of the Ulna, then install the wire and tape to the Humerous. It works great for me. The wrist stays put when it's dry. Got this from article from Patrick Rummons, I think.

use the same method as Pat. I learned it from Erling Morch, who is one of the best bird taxidermists of Europe, and it works great.

Like Pat said. There is no need to drill the humerus. Neat thing if the humerus is broken you can run the wire out to the lenght of the other humerus double back of itself and use the loop to wire to the body. Wish I could draw you a picture.
