First of all, I searched the archives for "fighting pheasants"

Anyone got some good shots of rooster peheasants fighting that they could copy and send mt way?

I am doing a piece for a PF banquet and need some good reference.

Do they end up on their backs?

I have seen pictures of the Newmeyer mount with one on his back. I dont plan on using that as my reference, but is that realisti? I assume if its Newmeyer, its from good reference. I am leaning to that kind of general pose.

yes they will tumble

and end up on thier back. there feet will be out to defend from a bird jumping on them. The photo link above shows how a rooster will jump and attack another.

although i like the looks of one on top of the other;
I've had over 1500 pheasants at a time and hunt bird all over, but never seen them like that, jumping and spurring each other yes. One on the others back yes. probable happens, just haven't seen it.
