This is more of an idea if you have the time. What I have been doing when it gets slow, is I grab my digital camera and go down to the local "duck hole" and set up a blind and start to take a few shots of the birds. I've gotten good and bad shots of birds. All you have to do is delete the ones you dont like. Put them on your PC and down load to a disk.
I keep the different birds on a seperat disk, and when I need to look at the bird I throw that disk in, and bring up the photo I want and then print it out and hang it up in the room for referance. I also have a great time watching the birds, and they can reeely comical at times.
