Thinking about buying some farm raised ducks, possibly Goldeneyes or Wood Ducks, is it true they have less fat then their wild brothers?
Lean ducks are much easier to mount.

Usually pen raised birds have way more fat, and for some reason the skin is much more likely to rip, at least on puddle ducks. One advantage however, is through the right breeder you can get your hands on birds with awsome plumage.
