Hi everyone! I recently had a friend bring me a pheasant and prairie chicken from S.Dakota. I finished the pheasant and now need to start the P/C but I never seen one so I did the search and found lots of booming pics, which he wanted, but this is a hen so I am sure he will go for one not booming or do hens do this too? Does anyone know of good hen reference or can i use grouse or pat for feather placement? It will be standing. Thanks, Mike

I have run into the same problem with sharptail grouse. most of the photos are of displaying birds. this really does not help much if you have a hen, or are looking to do a more normal pose. I have had some luck finding a FEW good pics of sharptails on the internet. luckily, sharptails and prairie chickens will pose in a similar attitude. this wont help you EXACTLY with the feather placement, but will give you a starting point for poses. I can try to find where I got my pics off the internet if you dont have a lot of luck.
