Painting pheasant beak

Submitted by R on 3/22/06 at 3:08 PM. ( ) 146.57.39.2

Is it natural for a ringneck pheasant to have a dark spot near the base of the beak? I noticied it after the pheasant dried. I tried to paint it, using a technique that George stated in the arcives, the color was right on, but I failed to cover up the dark spot even after whitening it out. Any suggestions?

Thanks

You'll need to repaint it again

Maybe your Superhide White was too thin and didn't do it well enough. The second coat should do it.
