neck wire in birds

having some trouble with supply company's wire when it comes to the necks of birds. i would like to know if there is a different type of wire that i could use that would be a little more easier to bend and shape, but still be strong. even the smaller ga wire like 15, is hard to shape neck positions for smaller birds like woodducks. thanks.

off scrap copper electrical wire, 8-10 gauge works good.

goto home depot and ask for the wire they tie rebar together with probably about 16 gauge, but any way this wire is annealed and easy to bend and holds it shape can get a pretty big spool for approx. 3 bucks, can double up if you need it stronger, hope this helps, DeLoy.
