A couple quick questions.
What size wire do you like to use for snow geese and canada geese.
Either flying or standing.

I use 8 gauge for the legs on standers and the wings on flyers. I attach flyers to driftwood with either #8 or #6.
use the heaviest you can get by with, while not having to wreck the bird trying to manhandle big wires. I use nothing larger than 10 ga in all but the absolute biggest of canadas. you need to be able to pose it accurately, and frankly, I cant do that with 8 ga inside a wing or neck. you can get by with a smaller gauge wire if you are willing to caulk up your wire/body unions. when that caulk sets, they will be solid.
however, i feel like 6ga is a little light for larger flying birds. i use 5/16 threaded rod, anchored in bondo with an additional 6ga spike driven in just above or below the threaded rod to keep from spinning. no bounce, gauranteed
the gauge you use may also depend on the type of wire you have. i usually have that really stiff wire you get in various sizes from McKenzie. It is harder to bend than the black/annealed wire that many use. If you are using annealed wire that is easier to bend, you very well could use the sizes that George is listing above. Maybe that is what he is using.
