I am a beginner but hope to open up my own shop, hopefully some time with in the year but would like to know what you have to do in Wisconsin to do ducks, geese and any thing like that. Do you have to have a paper trail a mile long on them when you do do them? I'd also like to do an owl some day but it sounds like you can't touch owls at all unless the government or some one brings it to you. Any info. any one has would be greatly appreciated. What about a scientific collectors permit? Would that allow you to do owls? Thanks

You're going to have to apply for a federal permit. Once you have the permit, you may do waterfowl with just a few inconveniencies. With protected species, the MUST be accompanied by exclusionary paperwork from the offices requesting them. You can do them for local, state, and federal offices, learning institutions or Native Americans WITH PERMITS, but you will need documentation and a signature from the "owner" before you start. You need to start with your federal permit. Go up to the top margin and click "Links". Scroll down until you find the USFWS office that services your location.

OOPS! I'm ASSUMING you're a U.S. Citizen. Otherwise, all bets are off.

LOL Yeah I live here!

If it ever comes into question again, yes I am a U.S. citizen. Born and raised here, out in the middle of no where. Thanks for the info!
