Hi i found this website not too long ago and have found many good tips on it but this is my first question please help. I have mounted a few fish just for fun but i am a big duck hunter and wanted to try my own ducks. I have a pretty good video and some books and have found a lot of good tips here, but just one more mayjor question befrore i started on a mallard i shot last season. For the head should i make a head inscion and use the real skull, or cut around the bill and get a fake head. Or can i cut around the bill and remove the skull completely from the body and still use the real skull. What would be the easiest since this is my first duck. Thanks much p.s. where do i inject the feet and how much my video skips this part

they are so much easier to use. If you are not inclined to paint it, you can buy one painted( i would suggest) then you can spend more time on the duck. A key to a good mount is, after removing the fat, wash it good. Dish soap and water,NO WHITE GAS, rinse real well and dry with a shop vac.with the hose reversed so it blows air.Fit is important.Make sure the body, head and neck(you can buy a fake neck) are the same size as what came out. standing birds are a bit easier than flying for a first bird. Take a good measurement on the eyes, a bad eyeset will cause tons of problems.

WASCO pro line(Tony finazzo) heads fit good and are cheap, Ferebee bodies fit good also. Have fun!

thanks

Thanks for the ideas, i think i will try a fake head. One of my videos shows how to use one and it looks like it wont be that hard. thanks
