What would you do?

I'm doing a pheasant for my state show in August and wondered which would be better for comp birds. Injecting the feet with latex caulk or masters blend. I use masters blend for all my birds commercially and the results are great. But in the archives, someone talked about using caulk because it leaves the feet more "fleshy". Just wanted some oppinions.

do what you are most comfortable with. It will yeild the best results. A judge will not ding you for it. If you use something that is not familiar and it doesn't produce the same results you'r used to, you will get dinged. Good Luck!

i tried the caulk only a few times. and at first things looked good, but then it seems like my feet shrunk some. I couldn't imagine them shrinking, but i jsut don't know. i'll need to try it again before I really decide. but I will say i liked the workability
my advice: do what your comfortable with.
and just thought of this...maybe something like liquid nails that sets up faster would work well. worth a try anyway
good luck
brian
