This is a migratory bird
is that you cannot possess a migratory bird that was not legally harvested during the hunting season. it sucks to leave it lay where you found it, but that is the only way you are not breaking any laws. Maybe a local conservation department could tell you what to do with it, but by having it in your possession you are breaking a law.
