I am looking for some knipex cutters. I have seen savidas use them to cut through 6ga wire.
Does anyone use them or know of them?

But why spend $30 for a pair of insulated diagonal side cutting pliers (dykes) when you can buy a pair just as good at Lowe's or Home Depot for $12?
BTW, I just typed "Knipex" on Google and the first entry that came up linked me to Sears. I didn't recognize the name brand. I buy the cheap tools and for heavy gage wires, I'd rather have the 10 inch bolt cutters or 10 inch wireman pliers.
Sears doesn't sell what you are looking for. The knipex cutters that Stefan use is an ultra high leverage center cutters and you can buy them at Anglo American Enterprises Corp. Phone: 856-784 8600 or check their website www. angloamericantools.com. The item you want is KN7491-10.
thank's for the info
These are nothing more than 10 inch angled diagonal side cutters or dykes. You can buy them at the Tractor Supply Company for $16 or you can go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy the Chinese imports for $14. I'd still go to Harbor Freight and buy the 12 inch bolt cutters for $8.
I was just at Harbor freight a couple day's ago. I am going to check home depot tomorrow, if they don't have it, ROAD TRIPP!
Thank's George...
George, with all due respect, there is no comparision between a "discount" set of dykes and a pair of high leverage center cut Knipex's. I have both, the difference is huge and well worth the money, sort of like a $1500 spotting scope or a $300 model, and yes, I have both of those as well.
