last couple of divers i mounted (oldsquaw,buffs,etc)developed yellowing on feathers.they were cleaned and degreased real good.i never had this problem before.and there not rust stains.any comments.

That's grease oozing out into the feathers. You missed a few spots.
Most people don't want to hear history, but when we wrapped bodies, there was less of this simply because the grease bled into the excelsior. Today, making a knee to knee cut will eliminate some of that which is caused by production methods. Even adding a paper towel under the skin will wick come of it away, but the simple fact remains that if you don't get it all, it will eventually taddle on you.
Well said George I see it all the time. You can clean it, but it will be back.
