I have my first turkey to do, I have done a few birds and have a few questions and or concerns. Are then special methods to preserve? I just use twenty mule team borax on the other birds, (pheasants) Is there a mathod or chemical to aid in degreasing and or preserving? Any good books? any good videos?

Joe, Shannon's right. The Breakthrough mags explain in great detail exactly what to do. They're better than a video and money well spent. There are three you need for Turkeys. I believe the back issues are #66,#67, and there's another one but I can't recall the number right now. One explains the skinning and cleaning, the other the mounting and the other is on power washer fleshing. You'll see them on there site. I got these issues a while a go and they've been a great help to me.
Good luck

i belive the other one is 68. I'd have to check at the shop to be sure. you could prob find out on their website, and order the back issues at the same time.
