I just started defatting my turkey skin. I am using a wire wheel. I have quite a few holes of various sizes. How do I repair them? The pellet size ones I'm not concerned with but, all the rest of them have me concerned! It will take me forever if Ihave to close all of them. Any HELP would be greatily appreciated! THANK YOU in advance for any HELP!

Obviously, this is your first turkey, so remember, you are learning and there is a world of birds out in the future. So relax. Sew the holes, if it takes all day, it will teach you next time to go slower when using the wire wheel.
You could ditch the job and start another turkey, but because this is just a practice bird, you did not know that did you, yes, it is a practice bird so finish it now matter what it takes. The next bird will be easier; the third turkey will start to look like one, the forth turkey will go together faster and so on. You are just paying dues on the first one.

From the Frank Neymyers video, he paints the form black. This will help hide some of those holes.

One thing I have learned. No matter how bad it is, finish it. heck I have at times had to sew a hole, and then link the thread together to fix another hole.

I can skin a turkey without a how, but fro some reason I have not picked up the fine art of a wirewheel. So you are right it will take hours to sewem up. You can usually get by with item smaller than a dime.
