...on what color you want in the "low" areas, between scales on feet/legs etc. If you want a darker color, use black/brown mixture, VERY thin and transparent, almost like water. You must let your base colors dry first and it is a good idea too seal them with crylon spray. I use a very soft sable brush. If you want a fleshy color, use thinned flesh mixture. If you think it is to thin, then simply put on another layer. Remember, easy does it. And wipe of with a soft cloth. It really improves and softens the paint job. B S

A dab of acrylic mixed with water. Nothing fancy, just the cheap tube stuff they sell everywhere that has an arts/crafts dept. Black or dark brown. Once its on, you can "paint" straight water to lighten the color. Heavy in the webbing, ankles and knees, just like your REFERENCE. Like most all painting, it will dry lighter than it looks when wet, so you have to "lead it" a little bit. I seal after the wash.
