I just got the new Breakthrough Mag. There is an article showing a guy mounting a pheasant . He was leaving the beak attached. He removed the skull but it didn't show it. He used an imatation head that was beak less and had no rebuilt wattles. My question is If anyone is using this method? Does the head run up through the neck easily? I remove all the heads out from the front on all my ducks but haven't tried it on a pheasant yet. This way looks good if its not a pain. Pat

I know Gregg Ielfield does it that way, I just saw him do it in a seminar back in March. He brought the head up through the neck after lubricating it with Noxemea..
Noxema, that sounds kind of wierd but guess it works. Thanks, Pat
Any liquid soap will work and the pH is equal to DP or borax
Thanks George, I read a lot of your posts. Dawn sounds better than the other stuff. Do you have to crush the skull to skin it out? I have some practice heads to work with. I'll play around with them before I try this method on a finish bird. Pat
