i need a pelican mount for a restaurant project i am working on. Anyone out there have one they would sell. It needs to be in a standing position.

I would sell you one for the cost of 20+ years in jail. Best bet is on a carving of some type. Better yet ask ebay.

Patrick Rummans has done some recreations before - you can see them on his website - I beleive its www.birdtaxidermy.com - but be prepaired for the price tag. Recreations are no easy task.

I realize the are a protected species. I was thinking of an old vintage mount. Are they also illegal? thanks for the recreation lead.

They are illegal to sell even if they are old enough to be legal to own.
