Has anybody tried out the colored injection fluid on birds. A while back I got a catalog with bright orange in it for mallards. Can't remember what company that was. Has anybody tried this with good results?

Dixieland Supply sells it. I haven't used it, but I've seen feet done with it and they look great w/ no shrinkage. The make it in orange, turkey red, and pintail grey.
I had the opportunity to receive training from Joe Kaiser and the stuffs great, its all i use now. I am waiting for Joe to come out with more colors especially a black.
so if you use colorject does that replace the need to paint the feet then.
I bought it from Dixieland after I saw it demoed at the NTA in Louisville a few years ago. I gave it an honest try and have to say I threw it in the garbage and went back to Masters Blend. The formula may have been improved since I bought mine. I bought the wood duck and mallard formulas and found it kicked off instantly in the syringe and just didn't perform as I expected.
Joe was just at my place a couple of weeks ago for a couple of days of training. I loved his colorject, a relatively slow set time around 10 minutes I would guess. One set of feet are so good I won't bother to paint, the others may need a little highlighting but not much. The colorject is the way to go on ducks as far as I am concerned, as for geese it would probably not be cost efficient due to foot size.
