Need Turkey Video

Anybody know of a good strutting turkey video where they use the real head. Not the real thing freeze dried or a replacement head. I am just wondering the best way to preserve the head skin and rebuild it right so it looks like a freeze dried head. I am going to mounting the bird in a gobbling out of strut pose on a limb. Also how do you get that layered tail look that isn't flat like on some of hazel creeks mounts. Thanks for any info.

Think youi need to spend the $40 some dollars & get a good freezed dryed head. As for the tail you can take it all apart then but it back in the "layed" look you looking for. Check out Gunners Taxidermy .com That is Harry Whitehead in Lex. KY. he will help you out he has heads in stock our will do yours .

I am always worried about freeze dried anything because I have heard bad things about them. I live in New England and is is very humid in this neck of the woods and I have heard that freeze dried heads don't last well here and that they will eventually gets bugs. What are you thoughts on that?

[a supply company] has a video on skin mounting a turkey head without having to inject it. You have to mount the head over an artifical head that has the head detail in it. I tried it and it worked ok, but by the time I bougut an artifical head to put it on, I did not save anything . Should of Just painted the head I bought. the tape # is tape 118. You might try it, it was interesting to do.
